PaperCut MF extends
the print, capture, billing and charge capabilities of
PaperCut NG, enabling organizations of any size to manage
all copying and printing produced across their entire
multi-functional copier and printer fleets using a
single low cost software application.
To capture "off the glass" walk-up copying,
PaperCut MF
supports direct TCP/IP network connection with selected
3rd party hardware terminals, enabling user
authentication and access via common card formats
including: mag-stripe, bar code, HID and Mifare. Clients
also have the option to implement touch screen terminals
as an "all in one" copy / print-station, enabling
greater interactive information for users and options
for site messages and organizational logos.
Embedded Multi-functional copiers and printers are getting
"smarter" with every generation. Most devices now have
LCD touch screens and the ability to run custom
applications. We have recognized this change and are
working with some of the leading manufacturers to run
PaperCut MF software directly on the multi-functional
copier or printer itself.
The PaperCut Software development team have developed
solutions for several major copier brands, including:
Gestetner / Lanier /
Nashuatec / Ricoh, via Ricoh Embedded Software
Architecture (ESA)
Sharp, via Sharp Open Systems
Architecture (OSA) Other devices (currently under
development)

| In response to the growing trend for
educational institutions to migrate away from cash
payments, PaperCut MF enables cashless account reloading
via a number of payment gateways. Funds can also be
added via self service hardware based loaders. |
 |
As PaperCut MF requires the
addition of either embedded applications or 3rd party
hardware, the implementation must be completed by
qualified staff. To ensure correct installation,
PaperCut has enlisted the support of highly qualified
resellers such as Select Technology
who will advise, install and support your
investment in PaperCut MF locally.
PaperCut on Novell OES Linux (iPrint)
Print quota, accounting, logging and management is
now here for Novell Open Enterprise Server (OES) Linux!
PaperCut has long been a cross-platform solution
supporting Windows, Mac and Linux/CUPS. Novell iPrint
was the one big missing hole in our cross-platform
objectives. After a few late nights, a lot of coffee,
and some help from Devon and Dean on the iPrint team, we
now have PaperCut running on OES Linux.
We're
currently in a testing phase and are looking forward to
working with Novell system administrators to further
improve PaperCut and its support for iPrint. More
info here:
PaperCut IPrint
